Eva is a hybrid mattress with latex, gel memory foam, high-density foam, and five zones of pocket springs. This makes the mattress thicker, which makes it easier for people to get in and out of bed. In addition, it provides great support and pressure relief. Unlike traditional springs, pocket springs provide more airflow while still providing bounce and edge support. Due to this, the mattress is medium firm but on the firmer side (7-8/10) and is preferred by many people. Eva donates 1 mattress for every 10 mattresses sold to charities and homeless shelters across Australia.

"The quality of the mattress is top notch. It's super comfortable and helps me not disturb my partner when I get into bed. I've recommended Eva mattresses to many friends and family members as they are fantastic value! $750 for a mattress that compares with that of something over $2000!" Millypilly - Eva Mattress Review
The Eva mattress is a hybrid design of 5 layers that offer great comfort and support. The layers from the top to the bottom are gel-infused memory foam, natural latex, high-density foam, five-zone pocket springs, and side pocket springs.
Gel-infused memory foam – Because of the millions of gel beads, it has excellent cooling properties that will redistribute heat and keep you cool throughout the night. The memory foam material will also adapt to your body to offer pressure relief.
Natural latex – Latex gives a gentle bounce to the bed and is very responsive. The natural latex has an open-cell and pinhole structure to allow more airflow and cooling to the mattress. Plus as a bonus latex is naturally dust-mite resistant and antimicrobial.
High-density foam – The high-density foam offers support to the top layers by absorbing the additional weight and redistribute pressure evenly.
Five zone pocket springs – The pocket springs support your spine throughout the night and minimise partner movement so no more waking your partner up in the middle of the night (or them waking you up). The 5 zone pocket springs provide different levels of support in each zone to maximise pressure relief and increase comfort. Each pocket spring is individually wrapped in fabric to help airflow and reduce motion transfer.
Side Pocket Springs - To give unparalleled edge support to the mattress Eva has included larger more robust springs along its side pockets. This makes the Eva mattress nearly impossible to fall out of bed, and much easier getting in and out of bed without the bed sagging.
The Cover - Protecting all the layers is a super soft white and grey cover. The top is a stretchy white fabric that allows airflow and the grey part is a sturdier polyester blend for durability. The cover is OEKO-TEX® certified to guarantee it will not harm you with toxins.
Because Eva has extra layers, it’s thicker than most other mattresses, measuring in at 32 centimetres which means that you can look forward to extra support. With the increase of layers it also increases the weight, the Eva queen-sized mattress is 55 kg. However, to make moving the mattress more manageable, we suggest putting it on your base before removing the compressed packaging.

With the extra layers and hybrid design, you would think the Eva mattress would be expensive compared to its competitors. However, it's even cheaper than a lot of the all-foam mattress in a box options. Usually, high-quality hybrid designs can reach $3000, but as you can see from the prices below it's incredibly affordable. In our Eva mattress review, we found from multiple sources that the hybrid design gives a medium-firm feel (more towards the firm), making it great for back and side sleepers. Eva’s quality springs can support up to 400 kilograms (unlike most mattresses). You'll love the Eva mattress if you're seeking a mattress that offers the contouring of foam and the bounce provided by coils.
Is the Eva mattress good for back pain? According to reviews, the edge support and the five-zone springs that relieve pressure points make this mattress ideal for people with back pain. The mattress is more of a firm mattress that back sleepers will prefer, so if you sleep on your side and are lighter in weight, it might not be as comfortable for you.
As a whole, we recommend the Eva mattress. You can test it out for 120 nights, risk-free. With its excellent build quality and comfortable mattress structure, you'll have a restful night's sleep. Next, you should read the Noa mattress review or the Macoda mattress review since they are economical alternatives with excellent build quality.
