It's a tough decision, it's either you prefer a hybrid mattress because of its bounce or you prefer a foam mattress because of the pressure relief and to prevent your partner from waking you up. However, we do not like Sleeping Duck's marketing jargon custom names since they actually basic polyurethane foam and pocket springs.
Where are they made and are they eco friendly
We get alot of questions on this topic, so heres the answer: Both are made in China. Koala use to be made in Australia but since moved manufacturing to China. Sleeping Duck produces there foams in Austrlia but ships them to China for manufacturing.
In terms of eco friendliness, Sleeping Duck isn’t great because of all of the extra air-miles that goes into one mattress. Koala is B-Corp certified, which means we stick to the highest social and environmental standards. In addition, they support 1% for the Planet, which means we give away one percent of the gross sales annually for the benefit of the planet, people and animals. And every mattress purchased helps protect our koalas with the WWF Australia partnership.

Koala was founded in 2015, and Sleeping Duck in 2014. Both have won 'Good Design' and other awards for their contributions to the mattress industry. In recent years, SD hasn't won many awards, but Koala has been awarded the Canstar Blue 'Most Satisfied Customers' Award and a few others.
